The dramas were awesome and all of them struck a chord with the young people, especially for those who struggled to sit quietly.

Wonderful and imaginative!
Play it by Ear (aka Ross Jonas and Chris Neilands) are two wonderful and imaginative people who are rooted in their Christian faith. They are able to make scripture come alive for young and older people and connect it to the times we live in. They have great writing and performance skills which they use with great effect in any group. Their style is interactive and fun which makes the whole experience challenging and lively. I have no hesitation in recommending Ross and Chris to work with any church group.

Play it by Ear have a fresh and passionate approach to drama.
Play it By Ear have a fresh and passionate approach to drama. Their presence on stage is unpretentious and warm, with a clear focus on God but also producing a powerful, sharp and professional performance.
Yet what they do is ministry more than performance and they so clearly want to put their considerable talents in God’s hands to bless the church. I found them so easy to work with as they wanted to serve us and tailor their script to provide what was needed. I have no doubt these guys will be a huge blessing to the Church on this island.

We loved them so much we’ve invited them to join us again next year!
Play it by Ear are a joy to work with. From our very first contact with them, they did everything they could to accommodate what we asked of them. They came to Cliff Festival last year and were with us the whole weekend, providing drama in all venues (from children to adults), busking, delivering an hour-long performance – they turned their hand to everything. They took on board the theme for the weekend and wrote/tailored sketches specifically for it. We loved them so much we’ve invited them to join us again next year!

Transformed how we use the Bible
Play it by Ear have transformed how we use the Bible at Soul Mates Weekend. They have made the Bible accessible for those for whom traditional teaching is not effective. They know how to appeal to nine to thirteen year olds. They are genuinely funny, they mix the poignant with the ridiculous, depth with hilarity and the absurd with the profound.
